Arrest of a Roman Catholic
Bishop in China
His Excellency, Bishop HAN Dingxiang,
the Roman Catholic Bishop of Yong Nian, Hebei was arrested on
August 27, 1995. He is being held in a detention center in Yong
Nian.
Bishop Han has been in jail many times in the past. He has a
heart condition and was recently hospitalized. At the time of his
arrest, he was still on I.V. at home.
